As part of its commitment to international collaboration on climate history research, NiCHE is offering a $1500 travel grant to a Canadian graduate student or postdoctoral fellow to attend the PAGES (Past Global Changes) “EURO-MED 2K” meeting, devoted to the climatic history of Europe and the Mediterranean over the most recent two millennia. The meeting will be held 22-24 November 2010 at the University of Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, Spain. See the event website for details about the meeting.
Applicants should submit a 1 page CV and a brief statement about how their research might benefit from attending the meeting, as a single PDF attachment to niche@uwo.ca by 1 September. Only applicants registered in the NiCHE Member Directory will be considered. The recipient will be expected to write up a brief report of the meeting, to be posted to the NiCHE website.
